Sun burns

During periods of strong heat , one can observe on the leaves of salads large areas of tissue browning and gradually drying out. This is particularly the case with growing plants that are particularly exposed to solar radiation. Their limbo, very succulent, subjected to very low relative humidity and high temperatures, quickly dehydrates locally, giving way to necrotic burns. We also speak in this case of sunburn.

Such conditions are also conducive to the appearance of peripheral drying out of the leaves, called marginal necrosis or "tip burn" .
