Aphelenchoides ritzemabosi

Aphelenchoides ritzemabosi occurs in many countries. It has been reported on a very large number of cultivated and non-cultivated hosts (chrysanthemum, aster, delphinium, dahlia, strawberries, beans, groundsel). Sometimes it affects tobacco. It causes some damage  in Germany, China, Pakistan and Chile, whereas it may occasionally be the cause of significant losses, in Brazil, Japan and France. Several years ago serious epidemics due to this pathogen were observed in the Southwest (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) region of France.
