Sprouting disorders

 
There are different sprouting disorders whose symptoms may appear before or after planting:

- No or partial sprouting;

- Threadlike and hairy sprouts;

- Necrotic sprouts with blackening tip;

- Numerous and weak sprouts;

- Internal sprouting;


NB: This chapter deals only with the sprouting problems occurring prior to planting.
For other tuber disorders, refer to Chapter  “On tubers”.
