Pseudomonas cichorii, is a bacterium widely distributed around the world, and especially known to affect vegetables. On tobacco, it has been reported in Brazil in the region of Minas Gerais and more recently in France, where it has not caused any important damage. It occurs mainly at the end of the season, on mature tobacco plants and during rainy periods.
