In <b> <i> Liriomyza bryoniae </i> </b> (leafminer), the adult insects are yellow and black.  Females have a black patch on the abdomen.  The flies of <i> L.  trifolii </i> are gray-black in color;  their heads are yellow and their eyes are red.  Yellow spots are visible on the thorax.  Adults of <i> L.  huidobrensis </i> are darker.  Females show a black patch on the abdomen.
