Alternaria alternata

A concave lesion has settled on this mature fruit. The tissues gradually collapse and split, while the pericarp locally takes on a black tint. Alternaria alternata (syn. Alternaria tenuis, alternariose)
Ultimately, the mycelium and numerous Alternaria alternata (syn. Alternaria tenuis ) fruiting bodies colonize the damaged surface of the fruit.Alternariose
This rotting fruit is almost completely collapsed and locally covered with black mold. Alternaria alternata (syn Alternaria tenuis, alternariose)
The rot is now firmly in place; the tissues shrivel over a large area and fruiting bodies appear here and there. Alternaria alternata (syn Alternaria tenuis, alternariose)
Alternaria alternata spores are produced in long chains at the end of conidiophores (longicatenatae). The conidia are brownish, multicellular and have a relatively short appendage (black mold rot).
