Damage due to predators

Very many punctiform alterations, slightly raised, greasy to orange, reflect the actions of the miners. They are tiny flies about 2mm long. Leafminer damage
We can observe on this salad leaf a leafminer responsible for the punctiform alterations.
The blade of this leaf is gnawed more or less deeply in several places. Fabrics exposed to air oxidize and take on an orange tint. There are also some irregular holes. Slug damage
By observing them attentively, one notices that they are due to bites carried out by slugs which consume the leaf blade. The perpetrators of this damage are never far away.
 Slug damage
The areas of the leaf blade where thrips feed take on an orange tint and a metallic sheen.
 Thrips damage
In altered leaf areas, elongated orange necrosis can be seen on the blade, associated with the presence of thrips.
