Defoliator pests

The leaves sometimes show various alterations affecting their appearance.  In this case, the leaf blade has been gnawed more or less superficially by a <b> pest </b> that should be looked for, in this case a <b> slug </b>.
The blade of this leaf is gnawed more or less deeply in several places.  Fabrics exposed to air oxidize and take on an orange tint.  There are also some irregular holes.  <b> Slug damage </b>
Careful observation of plants or their immediate environment can detect the culprit slug (s).

Many of the leaves of this lettuce have been gnawed by a <b> rabbit </b>.
The culprit, in this case a green moth caterpillar, is not very far.  We also notice the presence of black droppings.  <b> Moth damage </b>
