We care about the privacy and security of your personal information. We implement a security policy to guarantee the confidentiality of your personal data. However, no method of transmission and storage of data is completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the total security of the information transmitted or stored by the Ephytia site.
Username and posted information
Information that you post on our site or through associated nomadic applications may be seen by Ephytia content managers as long as they are in charge of managing the group on which you belong.
What you agree to by using our site
By accessing or registering on the site, you consent and agree that the data collected via the site or the nomadic applications may be used and disclosed, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you choose not to provide us with certain information necessary to provide you with the various services available on our site, you will not be able to establish a user account and we may not be able to provide these services to you.
What information we collect and how we use it
We collect information, including personal information, when you register on the Ephytia site, participate in observations, send us data and images. We collect the information in order to expand the data in the context of research or biovigilance, for example.
We may record the operating system and browser used by users of the site. We may also be able to determine the service provider and geographic information of the user's connection point. Different tools are used to collect this information. Some information is collected by cookies (small text file placed on your computer) but which are only used for navigation and rights management. You are able to control how and whether or not cookies are accepted by your browser. Most browsers give instructions on how to configure the browser to reject cookies. From smartphone and tablet applications:
Your login details to determine whether you are registered on the Ephytia site and that you are authorized to send data and therefore receive the appropriate forms.

The camera: so that you can take pictures of the different observations you make as part of your registration.
Geolocation: To determine the position from which you are reporting your sighting to us.
Access to your photos: In the event that you save a photo before sending it to us or to store the shot (s) of the forms.
Storage on your device: To allow you, if you wish, to load content on your phone to operate in offline mode.
