Final diagnosis


Fusariosis, Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. nicotianae)

One side of the leaf has turned to pale green or yellow. <b><i>Fusarium oxysporum </i>f. sp. <i>nicotianae</i></b> (fusarium wilt)
Subsequently yellowing becomes more pronounced and this portion of the leaf turns brown and dries up. <b><i>Fusarium oxysporum </i>f. sp.<i> nicotianae</i></b> (fusarium wilt)
Brown, longitudinal lesions can be observed on some areas of the cortex. <b><i>Fusarium oxysporum </i>f. sp. <i>nicotianae</i></b> (fusarium wilt)
Removing the cortex one can observe a uniform chocolate brown colour of the vascular system. <b><i>Fusarium oxysporum </i>f. sp. <i>nicotianae</i></b> (fusarium wilt)
<b><i>Fusarium oxysporum </i>f. sp. <i>nicotianae</i> </b> (fusarium wilt) produces on short conidiophores, curved, elongated multicellular macroconidia. It is also produces unicellular microconidia and chlamydospores.
