<b> <i> Fusarium oxysporum </i> f.  sp.  <i>lactucae</i> </b> ("fusarium wilt") produces unicellular microconidia and "crescent" shaped macroconidia with a maximum of 3 to 4 septa.  It also forms thick-walled, intercalated or terminal chlamydospores and isolated or in chains.
