Protection methods

The establishment of mass trapping of adults with different types of traps and attractants does not prove to be very effective after tests in orchards and tunnels (strawberry).

The classic predators of the Chrysopa sp. or some bugs can intervene on larval populations. The fight against this pest is geared more towards biocontrol with the study of two parasitoid hymenoptera (microguèps): Trichopria drosophilae of the Diapriidae family, and Pachycrepoideus vindemmiae ectoparasitoid hymenoptera of the Pteromalidae family.
