Symptoms of Choanephora cucurbitacearum on beans

Leaves Fruits Stems

 

  • Symptoms :
    • Colonization of senescent tissues (leaves, flowers, stems and pods) which rot, turn brown or even blacken (figures 1 and 2).
  • Signs : a blackish and airy mold more or less covers the rotten fabrics. Fruiting bodies in the shape of small pinheads are visible (figure 3).
